Filtration/Support Substrates

We are a UK Leader for the supply of technically advanced membranes for filtration substrates used in many industries e.g. power stations, food and engineering. They are available in acrylic, polyester, nylon and aramids in widths up to 5.2 metres and weights ranging from
50gs per square metre to 350gs per square metre.

Coating Substrates

Following our investment in the most up to date weaving looms designed specifically for filament yarns we are a leading supplier of nylon and polyester base fabrics for PVC and PU coating.

This product can be supplied in widths up to 2.7metres its end uses include lorry tarpaulins and soft play e.g. bouncy castles and also many military uses

Laminating Scrims

This can best be described as a product which gives added strength, stability and puncture resistance to the end product e.g. sail cloth, hot air balloon material.

Resin Impregnable Fabric

We weave material to be resin impregnated. This is a highly technical process and like all our products it is manufactured to ISO9001 specifications taking into account areas such as shrinkage and strength.

We weave in polyester, aramids, jute and PTFE.
Available in widths up to 5metres.

Flooring Substrates

Wilkie supply backing fabrics for both tufted and smooth flooring. Applications range from needled carpet and carpet tiles to reinforced membranes, linoleum tiles ( providing top quality natural fibre or synthetic backing) and underlay and felts (including non- woven re-inforcements and TEXBAC stitch bonded paper).

Roofing Substrates

We have an established range of products which are extensively used in bitumised roofing felts.

Cotton and Cotton Polyester Fabrics

Strong multi purpose canvas style product, this is a high quality technical fabric.
Industrial use including lining fabric, fabric for coating and the National Health Service (NHS).

Available in widths 90cm up to 2.5m

Wind Breaks

Woven polypropylene fabric available in any colour in the rainbow and any strip pattern. It is a strong high quality resilient material providing excellent protection.
