J & D Wilkie established in 1868 by James and David Wilkie, is a privately owned textile company in
Kirriemuir, Angus, Scotland. J & D Wilkie is one of the leading industrial textiles manufacturers in Europe.
Our team is dedicated to researching new textile products and solutions we can add to our already diverse product range. We specalise
in synthetic filament and spun yarn weaving including cotton
blends, acrylics and polypropylene. We
are also the only UK company still producing both woven
and non woven jute.
J & D Wilkie have the most up to date weaving looms and are a well established Industrial textile solutions producer within Europe. Located on one 10 acre site, we have knitting, weaving, non-wovens, stenter finishing, slitting, laminating and re-rolling facilities.
Our ceaseless quest to ensure customer satisfaction has
resulted in a significant expansion to our fabrics and textiles
with different weft colour combinations, weave
structures and yarns. Some of these newly developed fabrics
incorporate film laminates as base material allowing us to
weave split film laminate warps in a variety of combinations.
At the same time joint improvement programmes with our customers
have resulted in development of specialised and technical
textiles and fabrics suited to niche markets.
